STIFF on the Road: Winners of Student International Film Festival are starting their European tour

STIFF on the Road, traveling program of Student International Film Festival, has began its tour. Every year the festival organizes the screenings of the award winning films from the last festival edition. The first stop this year is Bonn, Germany, on March 30th, where it will take place in screening series of Cafe La Victoria, a house of many community based events and concerts. Next stops will take place in Bratislava, Pula and Belgrade, in forthcoming months.


STIFF on the Road fillm program brings the best from last year’s Student International Film Festival – STIFF. Along with two awarded films “The Nest” documentary by Kristina Leidenfrostova and short fiction film “America” by Aleksandra Trepinska, this special film treat also presents three films, which earned special mentions by the jury (short feature film „Flowers“ by Croatian director Judita Gamulin, documentary film „Glances of Closed Eyes“ by Serbian director Dora Filipović and animated „Alaska“ by Israelian directors Or Drori and Yarin Kaplan). A special „plus“ treat will be a „Way Out“, animated film by Hungarian director Anna Ottlik, from a 2nd STIFF edition.
Student International Film Festival (STIFF) is a first festival in Croatia dedicated only to the work of student and debutant filmmakers. It is organized as a partner project of Filmaktiv and SKC Rijeka (Student Culture Center), with the purpose to present the best of the student film production from around the world.
In the past three years of STIFF existence, the festival counts over 3000 submitted films coming from around the world, out of which selected and programmed more than 200 most recent student fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films.
Submissions for the 4th STIFF are now open at and the late deadline is 20th April 2017.
Festival dates are 19th to 22nd October 2017.
